When Marshall County and Graves County's boys teams take the floor Friday night, it will not be a meeting between Marshals and Eagles, but rather Redmen and Cubs.

The two schools are once again taking part in the Heritage Game from the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame. A game will pay homage to two championship-winning high schools lost to consolidation years ago.

Marshall County will take the court representing the 1948 Brewers High School Redmen who went 36-0 to win the state championship. Graves County will wear the colors of the Cuba Cubs who made the state finals in 1951 and 1952, winning it all in '52 by defeating Louisville DuPont Manual.

This is the second time in the last two seasons the two schools have represented those teams for the Heritage Game, with the Marshals hosting the game last year. In that game Marshall County's Reed Condor Gymnasium was designated as "Glory Road" site by the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame. That honor will be bestowed upon the FNB Bank Eagle's Nest during Friday night's game.

The Redmen and the Cubs will take the floor following the girl's game which is scheduled for 6pm. The games can be heard on WiLLiE 102.1 and willieradio.com.
