Racers will host next year's MVC baseball tourney

Murray State University learned last week that it will host the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference baseball tournament. 

The championship next May 20-23 will be the first MVC event hosted by the Racers in any sport since they joined the conference in 2022, and the first baseball tourney since 1991.

The announcement comes as a reward for a historic season for Racer baseball. The team won a school-record 44 games, claiming both the MVC regular season and tournament titles.

Murray State then captured the Oxford Regional and Durham Super Regionals, and advanced to the College World Series for the first time in program history.

More details about the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference baseball tournament will be released at a later date.
