Home for the first time in a month, the Murray State Football team hosts the Illinois State Redbirds in a 6 p.m. kickoff Saturday at Roy Stewart Stadium.
The ninth all-time meeting between the two Missouri Valley Football Conference rivals comes on Tackles for a Cure Day as the Racers look for their first win of the season.
The Racers battled at No. 21 South Dakota last Saturday, but lost 49-24, while the Redbirds lost at No. 1 North Dakota State 33-16.
Illinois State is also one of the seven MVFC teams in the top 25. They slip to No. 10 after last week's loss. Other ranked teams in the conference include No. 2 South Dakota State, No. 9 Southern Illinois, No. 12 North Dakota and No. 20 Youngstown State.
Saturday's game marks the third meeting between the two in the MVFC, both wins for ISU, including a 40-32 win in Murray a year ago.
