The Murray State football team announced the addition of 67 new signees after national signing day on Wednesday.
The signings mark the largest recruiting class in Racer history. The class is also shaping up to be one of the highest-rated classes ever. Quarterback Kaleb Bailey out of Houston, Texas, became the highest-rated player in program history, joining the team as a three-star prospect according to On3.
The class includes 48 freshmen, five sophomores, 12 juniors and a pair of seniors/graduate students. There are offensive 34 players, 30 defensive and three specialists.
MSU's 101st football season begins Aug. 30 at East Tennessee State.
The home opener is Sept. 6 on MSU Family Weekend when Southeastern Louisiana visits Stewart Stadium. Homecoming Weekend is Nov. 1 as Southern Illinois visits Stewart Stadium.
It's also the Racers' third season in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The MVFC opener Oct. 4 has the Racers playing at South Dakota.
