The Cinderella story of the Murray State Racers and the deep tournament run by the Louisville Cardinals have put both teams in the top ten of final national rankings for college baseball.
With the conclusion of the College World Series, the Racers have been ranked No. 8 in the D1Baseball.com poll.
National champion LSU and runner-up Coastal Carolina finished 1 and 2, with Arkansas, Oregon State and UCLA filling out the top 5.
Louisville was No. 6, then Arizona, Murray State, North Carolina and Florida State comprising the top ten.
USA Today also conducted a weekly coaches poll this season. Louisville also finished sixth in their rankings, and Murray State, unranked in that poll for the entire season, finished at No. 11 after their Super Regional championship.
