The Murray State Racers suffered their fourth overtime loss of the season in heartbreaking fashion 85-83 to the Bradley Braves Saturday in Peoria.
Leading by 16 points with 13:48 remaining, the Racers fought to the end of regulation with a chance to win it on the final play. Wood's 3-point attempt was no good and the game headed to extra time tied 75-75.
In overtime, with under 10 seconds left, MSU was down by two when Lindsay scored to make it 83-83. Bradley's Darius Hannah scored at the buzzer on a drive to the basket for the 85-83 win.
In the first half, the Racers got off to a fantastic start of 14-0, their best of the season, by hitting six of their first nine shots in the first 5:08.
As the top MVC team in getting to the free throw line, the Racers made 17-of-19 in the first half, with Terence Harcum, Wood and AJ Ferguson combining to hit 11 in a row.
Harcum scored 22 points to lead five Racers in double-figures. KyeRon Lindsay came off the bench to score 17 points. AJ Ferguson added 15 points, with 12 from Kylen Milton and 10 points from JaCobi Wood.
The Racers (14-15) are 8-10 in the Missouri Valley Conference and coming back at home for Senior Day at the CFSB Center when they host Indiana State Tuesday in Murray.
