Owensboro will host the 2025 Kentucky All “A” Classic Basketball Championships for both boys and girls, according to a joint announcement by Visit Owensboro and the Kentucky All “A” Classic. 

The tournament features 32 of the state’s top small school teams and will take place Jan. 22-26 at the Owensboro Sportscenter.

Girls games will begin Wednesday, Jan. 22 starting at 8:30 a.m. and running throughout the day. 

The boys’ tournament will kick off Thursday, Jan. 23, also with an 8:30 a.m. start. The quarterfinals will be held on Friday, the semifinals on Saturday, and both championship games on Sunday, Jan. 26.

The tournament is expected to draw over 32,000 fans and generate an economic impact of more than $1.9 million for the local community.

The Kentucky All “A” Classic is an annual statewide basketball tournament for Kentucky high schools with an enrollment of 575 or less. 

The event will celebrate its 36th year in 2025, with 122 schools currently participating in its athletic and scholarship programs.
