No. 7 Tennessee hosts struggling Kentucky tonight

The struggling Kentucky Wildcats go into Neyland Stadium to face the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers tonight.

Kentucky has dropped five of seven and three in a row since upsetting Mississippi. They’re in danger of missing the postseason for the first time in nine years. The Wildcats have lost 10 of their past 12 SEC games and have yet to score 20 points in a conference game.

Meanwhile, the Volunteers are rested coming off an open date following their big win over Alabama. The Vols remain in control for a berth in the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff with no margin for error. 

Kentucky has to be able to stop Tennessee’s running game, the seventh-best in the country at 241 yards per game.

Kentucky also ranks 103rd in the country in sacks allowed (20). Tennessee’s defense has had 15 sacks.
