Paducah Tilghman 55, Mayfield 29
Two years ago Paducah Tilghman snapped Mayfield's 17-game win streak over the Blue Tornado. Going into Friday's meeting, the Cardinals were looking to snap Tilghman's 17-game win streak of their own, as the Tornado's last loss in football was on November 4, 2023. Well, the Tilghman streak prevailed and moved to 18 straight total wins, three straight now over Mayfield.
That three game win streak over the Cardinals matches the most consecutive wins for Tilghman in the series since 2003-2005.
In this 112th meeting between the schools, Tilghman's points came mostly through the air as senior Stone Crowe racked up 409 yards passing with six touchdowns, while throwing 2 interceptions. He was 21-for-40 on the night.
Meanwhile, senior Cameron Wade was virtually unstoppable racking up 245 yards receiving with five touchdowns on eight catches. Sophomore Avery Thompson also went over the centurary mark with 122 yards on six catches and two touchdowns.
Tilghman (3-0) will travel to Madisonville-North Hopkins (3-0) in week 4.
Murray 32, Graves County 14
It was the first meeting between the Eagles and Tigers since 2019. The two programs had played annually between 2011 and 2019 before ending the series with the Eagles having won 7 of those 9 previous meetings.
The Eagles were hoping to avoid the programs first 0-3 start since 2011, finishing that season at 4-7. Graves County has started 1-3 three times since that season, finishing with a winning record in two of those three seasons.
It was a close game through most of the first three quarters. Each team was tied at 7 each after the first quarter. The Tigers would lead just 10-7 at the halftime break. However, things started to click for the Tigers' potent offense in the second half and they ended the quarter up 26-7, with each team adding a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The Tigers gained most of their offense through the air as senior Wyatt Robbins went 16-for-27 with 274 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. As a team they accumulated 177 yards on the ground on 30 carries with a touchdown.
The Eagles struggled to gain traction again with just 62 yards passing and 53 yards on the ground.
This week, Murray (3-0) will host Marshall County (2-1), while Graves County (0-3) will host Union County (2-1).

It was a night of firsts for the Mustangs. The Mustangs were winners in their first ever meeting over Northeast. They also avoided their first 0-3 start to a season since 2022 with their first win of the season.
A closer game early as McCracken led 14-6 at the end of the first quarter, quickly turned into a blowout for the Mustangs. They led 31-19 at halftime and 51-26 to close the third quarter.
The Mustangs posted over 500 yards of total offense. Senior Maddox O'Neal threw for 203 yards on 13-for-22 passing with one touchdown and one pick. Freshman Cole Presswood went 9-for-16 with 102 yards and three touchdowns with one pick.
The Mustangs had 32 team carries for 212 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Marshall County 28, Trigg County 27
The Marshals and Wildcats have a long history of playing one another, having meet on the gridiron each decade dating back to the 1970's. Their week 3 meeting was the 17th all time between the two schools and first since the 2020 season. The Marshals had won the previous three games and now have the overall edge with a 11-6 mark against the Wildcats.
The Wildcats led most of the night, but the Marshals found the end zone late in the fourth quarter to finish off the one-point win.
The Marshals were impressive moving the football on the ground with 249 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore Jake Thomasson led the way with 22 carries for 169 yards. They added 128 yards and a touchdown in the air.
The Marshals (2-1) will travel to Murray (3-0) in week 4.
Calloway County 48, Fulton County 14
The Pilots were able to avoid a winless 2024 season with a week 3 win over Calloway County a year ago. That loss came in the middle of what would become a 16-game losing streak. The Lakers snapped that streak with their win in week 1, and now find themselves with a winning record early in 2025.
The Lakers had been strong through the air in the first two weeks, but found success Friday on the ground. They had an impressive 415 yards rushing as a team with six rushing touchdowns. The majority of that was with senior Logan Smith who had 14 carries for 314 yards and accounted for all of their rushing touchdowns. Smith averaged an eye-popping 24 yards per carry.
The Lakers (2-1) will host Ballard Memorial (0-3) in week 4.
Massac County 42, Ballard Memorial 0
This week proved to be a 58-point swing from last season's game in which the Bombers pulled out a 44-28 win.
