Joey Logano scored the win Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway, cementing himself back in the NASCAR Cup Series playoff picture.

Logano took the lead under caution when several of the leaders pitted for fuel amid a run of five overtime attempts. The driver of the 22 stretched his fuel over the final 110 laps, then held off a hard-charging Tyler Reddick to claim the checkers. Logano told NBC Sports after the race that his car stumbled as he crossed the finish line. He finished off the fuel with an abbreviated burnout on the front stretch.

Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Denny Hamlin all ran out of fuel during the overtime attempts that saw the race go 25 laps past the scheduled 300-lap distance. Last year's winner, Ross Chastain, got spun on a restart when Larson got his car on the track apron before drifting up into Chastain triggering the first of two big crashes during the extra laps.

Last week's winner Christopher Bell won stage one before rain stopped the race for almost an hour and a half. He also won stage two after the rain. Bell spun by himself in traffic after a pitstop, ending his day.

The Cup Series heads to the streets of Chicago next Sunday for the second time. First-time starter Shane Van Gisbergen won that race in a third car for Trackhouse Racing.

Xfinity Series

Cup Series regular John Hunter Nemechek slipped back into his old Xfinity ride at Joe Gibbs Racing and took the 20 to Victory Lane in the Tennessee Lottery 250 on Saturday.

The Xfinity Series will also be on the streets of Chicago next weekend.

Craftsman Truck Series

Christian Eckes led every lap and picked up a dominant win in Friday's Rackley Roofing 200.

The Trucks will not be back in action until July 12th at Pocono.
