The Paducah Chiefs went on the road and swept a pair of games from the Madisonville Miners on Tuesday.

The Chiefs won the opener 4-3 behind a leadoff home run from Former Lyon County star Gunnar Bingham in the first inning. St. Mary graduate Brett Haas was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Noah Wagster had two hits for Paducah.  Ballard Memorial's Konnor Myatt started on the mound and got the win with Drew Morehead getting the save.

In the nightcap, the Chiefs used a 7-run fifth inning to blow the game open on the way to an 11-0 win.  Former McCracken County Mustang Jude Farley had his best hitting effort of the season, with three hits and a pair of RBIs. Easton Denning and Brayden Baker each had two hits, with Marshall County and Murray State's Reese Oakley getting the pitching win.

With the wins, their sixth and seventh in a row, the Chiefs have climbed from 5th to 2nd place in the Ohio Valley League at 13-11, five games behind the Full Count Rhythm. The Chiefs are a half game ahead of Henderson and Fulton.

The Chiefs return home Wednesday night to host Fulton at 6:30 at Brooks Stadium.  You can hear the game on 995 The Fan with Jeff Bidwell.
