The Paducah Chiefs led late, but dropped a 5-2 decision to the Hoptown Hoppers on Sunday at Brooks Stadium.
The Chiefs could only scratch out four hits on the night, but they still took a 2-1 lead into the 7th inning thanks to RBIs from Kobe Watson and former McCracken County standout Nate Lang.
But Hoptown pushed across four runs in the top of the seventh for the lead they would not relinquish.
After a hot start, the Chiefs (6-10) are in the throes of a six-game losing streak, and tied for fourth in the Ohio Valley League.
Tonight at 7:05 the Chiefs are in Hendersonville, Tennessee to face the league-leading Full County Rhythm, who are on a five-game win streak of their own. They'll return to Brooks Stadium Friday to host the Henderson Flash.
