Chiefs drop playoff opener 13-3

The Madisonville Miners beat the Paducah Chiefs 13-3 in seven innings on Monday at Brooks Stadium to take the opening game of their first round Ohio Valley League playoff series.

The series moves to Elmer Kelly Stadium in Madisonville today at 6:30. If the Chiefs win, a third game will be necessary in Paducah on Wednesday.

In the other first round playoff series, Fulton took down the Full Count Rhythm 3-2 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. They'll play game 2 today in Fulton.
