Ballard Memorial rolls out for All A state tourney this afternoon; cheer them on along US 60

The Ballard Memorial Bombers will be headed to Owensboro this afternoon to play in this week's  All “A” Classic state basketball tournament.

According to school officials, they'll be leaving the school at 1:30 p.m. with a lighted vehicle escort.

Ballard County businesses and community members are invited to line their route along US 60 and put out signs or messages on marquees.

The cold may make it more difficult for some, but you're also welcome to park safely and honk and wave as they go by.

The Bombers will play late Thursday night, so in anticipation of so many students and parents heading to the game, there will be no school in Ballard County on Friday.
