Mayfield traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A man was arrested at a Friday morning traffic stop in Mayfield.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said the stop was made on West Broadway. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Stephen Pion was found to be impaired and did not have any insurance on the vehicle or have it registered in his name.

Pion was placed under arrest and a search of Pion’s vehicle was conducted that produced several baggies of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe with meth inside.

Pion was arrested and taken to the Graves County RC Center where he was charged with DUI, possession of methamphetamine and various traffic offenses.
