Woman arrested in western KY concerning hit-and-run bicycle fatality in Florida

A woman wanted in connection to a 2023 fatal hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist in Florida was arrested in western Kentucky on Tuesday.

Oak Grove Police said Jessica Hendrickson was located at exit 86 on Interstate 24 after surveillance cameras alerted on her vehicle tag and she was taken into custody.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Hendrickson hit a bicycle ridden by Navy veteran 61-year-old Jeff Nichols near Pensacola killing him before fleeing the area on June 10th, 2023.

Hendrickson is lodged in the Christian County Jail on the charge of being a fugitive from another state.
