The National Weather Service confirmed that three tornadoes touched down in central Kentucky when storms moved through the area late Friday.
Survey results on Saturday found that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Hardin and Bullitt counties and an EF-0 tornado hit in Breckinridge County.
According to weather service data, the EF-0 tornado had peak winds of about 80 mph while both EF-1 tornadoes had peak winds near 100 mph. There were scattered reports of downed trees and power lines in Hardin and Jefferson counties from the storm.
