The University of Louisville’s president has abruptly resigned and her permanent successor has been selected by the school’s trustees, without the customary national search.
The school's trustees said Wednesday that Kim Schatzel’s resignation as president of the school took effect immediately. They said another top campus executive, Gerry Bradley, was chosen to replace her.
Bradley formerly served as the school’s executive vice president and provost. The school gave no reason for Schatzel’s departure.
Bradley says the school has a team in place to take UofL to greater heights. Last fall, UofL said its enrollment reached a record high.
