The Tennessee Valley Authority will host a public open house to discuss groundwater and coal combustion residuals following a corrective measures assessment at the Shawnee Fossil Plant.
The open house will take place on Wednesday, November 30th between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Expo Center.
There will be staff members available to answer questions about the assessment. They will be able to talk about the localized groundwater issues at the site related to the coal combustion residuals and how TVA plans to monitor and address the groundwater problems.
