A new poll shows more Kentuckians are changing their minds and getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
The poll by the non-partisan Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky shows that efforts to encourage vaccines have persuaded two-thirds of people who said earlier this year they were open to changing their minds.
Foundation President Ben Chandler admits the surge in the Delta variant likely played a role in reducing vaccine hesitancy in the state.
The poll shows 1 in 5 Kentuckians are determined not to get the vaccine.
More than 500 adults were polled by telephone between August 4th and September 4th. The poll includes a margin of error of plus-or-minus 4.3 percent.
