He wasn't there to accept it, but Morgan Wallen won Entertainer of the Year at the 58th annual Country Music Association Awards took place Wednesday in Nashville.

Chris Stapleton was named Male Vocalist of the Year, and one of the show's emcees, Lainy Wilson, won Female Artist.

Megan Moroney took home New Artist of the Year. Cody Johnson’s Leather won Album of the Year, and Stapleton’s “White Horse” won both Single of the Year and Song of the Year.

The event also honored George Strait with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.
