Metcalf to be next Kentucky State Treasurer

Republican Mark Metcalf has won his race to become the next Kentucky State Treasurer. 

The veteran and Garrard County Attorney defeated Michael Bowman of Louisville. Metcalf won the race by a nearly 17-point margin over Bowman, a Beshear staffer. 

Metcalf succeeds Allison Ball who is Kentucky's next Auditor.
