$37 million secured to fight opioid addiction in Kentucky

It was announced Thursday that the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will distribute over $37.2 million in federal funding to the Commonwealth of Kentucky through the State Opioid Response Grant Program.

The program provides a block grant to Kentucky’s state government, which the state then distributes through Kentucky Opioid Response Effort to programs across the Commonwealth that help prevent, reduce, and treat opioid abuse.
