A Florida man was charged with assault after a fight at an Oak Grove truck stop where he reportedly attacked another man with a machete.

Oak Grove police said 32-year-old Yoandi Perez and a 58-year-old man were in the same tractor-trailer when they got into a fight. During the altercation the window in the semi was broken while police said Perez attacked the man with the machete.

The unidentified victim was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with critical wounds to his upper body.

Perez was also transported to a local hospital by ambulance for cuts, and was later arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
