More election reform legislation has been signed into law by Governor Andy Beshear.
The bipartisan measure was supported by Secretary of State Michael Adams. Adams sought to tighten the regulations that have allowed county clerks to consolidate polling places for election day. It also deals with electioneering within 100 feet of a polling location and also early voting days.
Adams applauded the signing of the bill and said, "Kentucky remains the only state reforming its election process in bipartisan fashion, and this law will help voters across the political spectrum. I commend Governor Beshear for signing this bill, and Representative Jennifer Decker and Senator Damon Thayer for all their work in drafting it and getting it to his desk."
Adams has worked with legislators each session to bring bipartisan reform measures to passage.
