Secretary of State Michael Adams announced on Wednesday that for the third month running, more new voters were added than were removed from the rolls in the final two weeks of May.
Following the May primary, 8,817 new voters were registered, while 4,420 were removed. Of those removed, 3,996 were deceased voters. The rest were voters who moved out of state, were convicted of felonies, were judged incompetent, or deregistered voluntarily.
Democrats and Republicans make up an almost even portion of the electorate. Democrats make up 45.2%, while Republicans make up 45.1%.
