Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville troopers were kept busy recently with at least three major arrest incidents involving DUI and felonies.
As troopers conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on US 62 at the Muhlenberg-Hopkins County line, they arrested 51-year-old Maurice Summers of Graham for DUI and trafficking in marijuana and methamphetamine as well as multiple other misdemeanor drug offenses.
Another trooper attempted to stop a pickup truck in Central City with no registration plate, when the driver fled, before the chase ended outside South Carrolton. Both the driver, 41-year-old Aubrey Gunn of White Plains, and passenger, 31-year-old Andrea Conrad of Nebo, had outstanding arrest warrants. Gunn reportedly was found to be under the influence and in possession of suspected drugs.
Both were found to be convicted felons and in possession of a firearm. Gunn also was charged with multiple traffic and misdemeanor offenses, including first-degree fleeing or evading police, DUI-second offense, possession of a controlled substance: methamphetamine-firearm enhanced, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Andrea Conrad was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Late Wednesday night, a trooper saw a car speeding. He then stopped and arrested 22-year-old Allan Rebolledo of Miami, Florida. He was charged with multiple traffic offenses, being under the influence and in possession of suspected drugs, and DUI-first offense, possession of marijuana and cocaine.
