Freeland reappointed chair of House budget subcomittee

State Representative Chris Freeland of Benton was reappointed as Chair of the Kentucky House’s Budget Review Subcommittee, it was announced this week.

Members of the Budget Review Subcommittee on General Government review the budgets of state agencies, the funding of all state programs, and the utilization of those funds.

In addition to leading the committee, Freeland also serves as a member of the Agriculture; Appropriations and Revenue; Local Government; Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection; and Budget Preparation committees.

The Kentucky House Regular Session convened on January 7. Legislators will meet for 30 legislative days before adjourning at the end of March.
