Governor Andy Bashear made his third western Kentucky stop Saturday in Bowling Green.

The ravenous storms swept through Bowling Green tearing roofs off homes and throwing debris into roadways. Louisville's Chief Meteorologist John Gordon confirmed the Bowling Green, Warren County tornado was an EF3.

Western Kentucky University's president said on Twitter that one of its students who lived off-campus was killed. The school canceled winter commencement ceremonies because the campus was without power.

Like his previous two stops, Bashear said this was the most deadly tornado in Kentucky history, with the anticipated death toll to be "north" of 70 and close to 100.

When asked how Kentuckians can help, he said give blood and through a single donation site teamwkyrelieffund.ky.gov.

Bowling Green Mayor Todd Alcott reiterated that the best way to help is to give blood. He also said that the Red Cross was setting up a shelter at South Warren High School for those who were displaced.

In closing, the Governor and Mayor reminded residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
