Governor Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, in honor of the Air Evac Lifeteam crew killed in a crash on Monday.

The flight crew, Gale Alleman, Bethany Aicken, and James Welsh were en route to pick up a patient when the crash occurred in Owen County. According to the Governor's Office, a service for Welsh will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cold Springs on Saturday. Also on Saturday, a memorial for Aicken will take place at Hardy Funeral Home in Louisville. Alleman will be remembered at a later date in Michigan.

Beshear encourages all individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies to join the tribute.
