The annual Kentucky State Police 'Cram the Cruiser' food drive is officially underway through Dec. 4.

Troopers from all 16 KSP posts will be stationed at various grocery and retail stores to accept donations of non-perishable food items. Food may also be dropped off at Post 1 in Hickory.

A simultaneous statewide event is planned on Friday, December 1. That day, Post 1 troopers will be stationed outside Kroger in Murray from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Last year troopers collected more than 218,000 pounds of food. All food items collected stay in the communities where the contributions were made.
