Bald Knob Cross welcomes newest event, the 'Blessing of the Tractors'

Dozens of tractors of all shapes and sizes converged on Bald Knob Cross in southern Illinois for the inaugural Blessing of the Tractors on Saturday.

The tractors met at Southern FS in Jonesboro, and were escorted to the cross at Alto Pass by the Union County Sheriff's office.

The round trip event was also a fundraiser for the Union County Farm Bureau scholarship fund.

The Bald Knob Cross of Peace is also the site for two other highly attended gatherings, the Blessing of the Bikes coming up May 18, and the Blessing of the Jeeps on June 7.
