Paducah experienced its second-warmest month of March ever, according to the National Weather Service office in Paducah.

Paducah's daily average high was almost 10 degrees warmer than average at 69.5 degrees, and the average daily low was more than 7 degrees warmer than usual at 45.7 degrees.

Paducah's all-time warmest day ever in March was set on the 22nd at 87 degrees. Six other record highs for their respective dates were also set last month, along with two mornings when the warmest lows for the date were set (both 65 degrees.)

March also turned out to be Paducah's windiest month ever. Meteorologists recorded wind gusts over 20 miles per hour for 213 hours during March, surpassing the record of 200 hours set one year ago. The other top 5 windiest months for Paducah are April 2011, December 2008, and April 2018.

There were at least a dozen days in March that exceeded 30 miles per hour, and several topping 40 mph, but no records were broken.
