Wingo man airlifted after rollover crash

A Wingo man was airlifted to an out-of-state hospital after he was injured in a rollover crash on Monday afternoon.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of KY 80 and KY 384, about three miles west of Mayfield.

Deputies reported that 71-year-old Teresa McAlpin of Mayfield was driving on KY 80 and turned left into a driveway, but also into the path of an oncoming pickup driven by 39-year-old Justin Hughes. Hughes avoided a collision with McAlpin. However, his truck left the roadway and overturned onto its roof in a ditch.

Hughes was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, then airlifted to Skyline Hospital in Nashville.
