A traffic stop in Paducah landed a Fredonia man in jail on drug trafficking charges.

On Wednesday, a McCracken County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a pickup driven by 46-year-old Thomas J. Owen of Fredonia along North 3rd Street. A K-9 officer was brought in, and an open-air sniff reportedly hit on the possibility of drugs in the vehicle.

A search uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms, plus over $1000 cash, reportedly from drug sales.

Owen was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth and mushrooms, and possession of marijuana.
