In a Facebook post on Wednesday, owner Melissa Hale shared that the decision was made due to a mixture of an unforeseen and unresolved plumbing issues, rising costs, out of control maintenance, debt from the closure of their Reidland location, and overall cost of operation.
Hale wrote, "I leave this business after 21 of the 32 years of operation. I have truly tried to put my heart and soul into this business on a daily basis. It has seen me through some of the darkest times in my life with the guests smiling faces and encouragement, to my valued employees keeping things afloat during those events. It has truly been what has helped me keep going."
Hale continued, "I hope that each of you have some fond memories of dining with us and that we have somehow touched your life in a positive way that you may remember us by."

Hale thanked her employees, vendors, "tried and true" guests, and the Marshall County community as a whole. Hale ended by saying, "Please keep each of us in your thoughts and prayers as we pave new roads to our futures. As we all must accept the end of something in order to begin something new."
