Kentucky first lady Britainy Beshear says the western Kentucky toy drive has collected at least 70,000 toys so far for families impacted by last week’s tornadoes.

The most significant remaining need is $25 Visa and Mastercard gift cards and gifts for older children and teens such as electronics, athletic equipment, books, and art supplies.

The drive will end Saturday.

Kentuckians can drop off unwrapped gifts at 20 sites across the state. Locally, toys can be dropped off at the Paducah Police Department at 1400 Broadway. Drop-offs are accepted 24 hours a day through Saturday.
