West Paducah man injured in traffic accident

A West Paducah man was injured in a single vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they responded around 5:10 pm to Pullen Lane.

Deputies said Billy Stewart of West Paducah apparently fell asleep at the wheel.  Stewart woke up when his car hit an embankment.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
