Crash in Mayfield sends two to the hospital

A crash on Wednesday morning in Mayfield blocked traffic and sent two to the hospital.

Mayfield Police said the crash occurred at the intersection of the Dick Castleman Bypass and Paducah Road/US 45. Investigators indicated that an SUV driven by 62-year-old Deborah Heatherly began to turn left onto the bypass and crossed into the path of a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Hamilton Ashley.

Heatherly was taken by private vehicle to Murray-Calloway County Hospital while Ashley was taken by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
