Warrant leads to new charges for Benton man

An attempt to serve an arrest warrant led to additional charges for a Benton man on Monday.

Authorities went to a home to serve an indictment warrant on 40-year-old Roy James Jones for trafficking in a controlled substance.

Jones was reportedly found to have two bags of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

A search of his home allegedly additionally uncovered more meth, paraphernalia, and weapons.
