After we dried out on Thursday, we're entering another long stretch of dry days, and temperatures a bit above normal for the last week of September.

Low to mid 80s for Barbecue On the River will warm to the mid to upper 80s on Sunday and Monday. Then we return to low-to-mid 80s the rest of next week, remaining mostly sunny through next weekend.

Paducah's historical average daily high next week is 79 degrees.

Even NOAA's extended 6-to-10 day outlook shows more of the same trend for the first week of October; warm and dry.

Local outdoor burn bans have been lifted after most counties received 3 or more inches of rain since last weekend; however, Kentucky's annual Fall Forest Fire Hazard Season starts next week.

From October 1 to December 15, during which burning within 150 feet of woodlands or brushlands is illegal between 6 AM and 6 PM.
