Wanted Princeton man arrested; facing new drug charge

A wanted Princeton man was arrested in Caldwell County on Monday and received a new drug charge.

Caldwell County deputies found and arrested 59-year-old Dwayne Armstrong on a warrant for careless driving, failure to maintain insurance, failure to register his vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

During the booking process at the Caldwell County jail, authorities said Armstrong was found to have suspected methamphetamine on his person.

He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.
