A return of warmer than average temperatures early this week will turn into 2 to 3 inches of rainfall beginning Tuesday night.
Temperatures will rise back into the 80s on Monday and Tuesday, accompanied by wind gusts around 25 miles per hour.
By Wednesday, showers and thundershowers will become likely. Rain chances will continue daily into the weekend. Highs late week will be in the upper 70s.
Rain and thundershowers are most likely Wednesday through Saturday. Total rainfall of two or more inches will be beneficial for spring crops in soil that is abnormally dry, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest drought monitor.
