USDA announces Rural Partners Network grant for several area counties

The US Department of Agriculture announced Monday a Rural Deveopment grant through the Rural Partners Network in the amount of $1,000,000 to implement a dental health care program at local schools in Calloway,Fulton, Hickman and Lyon Counties.

A portion of the funds will also be used to obtain an additional ambulance for Fulton County's only emergency medical care provider. 

The project will result in creating four jobs, saving 32 jobs, and assisting five businesses and 2,925 individuals.
