Two individuals with active warrants were arrested following a traffic stop in Calvert City.
Calvert City Police said they stopped the vehicle of 51-year-old Glen Ray Edwards of Grand Rivers because they were aware that he had an active warrant and was reportedly driving on a suspended license. During the stop, the officer allegedly saw Edwards attempting to conceal something in the center console of the vehicle.
Edwards was arrested and reportedly told the officer that there was drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. They also are said to have found methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and served the warrant for failure to appear, along with driving on a suspended or revoked license.
A passenger in Edwards’ vehicle, 31-year-old Samantha J. Edwards of Paducah, also was served with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear out of McCracken County.
