Two vehicle accident leads to one injury in Mayfield

Mayfield Police investigated a traffic accident Monday afternoon on Paducah Road and Kings Drive.

Investigators said operated by 72-year-old Donald Vowell, was exiting a parking lot pulling out onto Paducah Road. At the same time, a vehicle operated by 68-year-old Deborah Reeves was traveling south along Paducah Road. Vowell's vehicle pulled in front of Reeves and the two collided.

Reeves was treated on scene by members of the Mayfield Fire & EMS, then transported to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital with a complaint of shortness of breath. A 3-year-old child that was in the vehicle with Reeves was uninjured. Vowell was also uninjured.
