Two arrested, one sought in Paducah fentanyl trafficking case

Paducah police are searching for a Paducah man who is wanted in connection with a fentanyl trafficking investigation.

Detectives said that on Thursday they saw a suspected drug transaction betweeen 32-year-old Ronnie “Ty” Copeland and a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Karen Burgher.

When they stopped the vehicle, detectives found approximately 1,500 fentanyl pills, which led to Burgher’s arrest on the charge of trafficking in a controlled substance.

Detectives located more fentanyl packaged for sale while searching the home where Copeland lives with 25-year-old Ashley Lastinger.

Lastinger was arrested on a charge of aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance.

Police are still looking for Copeland. He is described as a black male, with a height of 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 135 lbs. Anyone with information is asked to contact Paducah police.
