Paducah residents arrested on drug, gun charges

A traffic stop Saturday evening led to the discovery of methamphetamine and a felon in possession of a firearm.

Paducah Police found the driver, 53-year-old Christopher Wray of Paducah was driving with a suspended license stemming from a previous DUI conviction. Wray was also found to be wanted, having multiple warrants from McCracken County. 

During the arrest, Wray indicated to officers he was armed and officers located a loaded 9mm handgun in a holster on his waist. A check of his criminal history showed that Wray is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Paducah Police K9 Bary indicated to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle and officers found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and a digital scale. 

The female passenger, 38-year-old Robyn Smith also of Paducah, told officers that the drug items belonged to her.

Wray and Smith were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
