Traffic stop leads to Paducah man's arrest on drug charges

A Paducah man was arrested Saturday on drug related charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said officers could not get the vehicle operated by 36 year old Felipe Sanchez Tapia to stop, but he was eventually pulled over in the back parking lot of Lone Oak First Baptist Church.

Tapia also failed to follow commands once he was stopped.  A deputy finally got Tapia to exit the vehicle and after a brief investigation, a small quantity of methamphetamine was found along with drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol container.

Tapia was lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center.
