A traffic stop on Tuesday landed a Mayfield woman in jail on drug charges.

Tuesday, just before 11 p.m., a Graves County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the vehicle, driven by 40-year-old Carolyn A. Reed of Mayfield, committing a traffic offense. He pulled over Reed’s vehicle on the KY 121 Bypass near 17th Street. A Mayfield Police K-9 named Storm was brought to the scene, and after an open-air sniff, hit on the possible presence of drugs inside.

A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered methamphetamine and marijuana.

Reed was arrested and charged with possession of meth and marijuana in addition to the traffic violations.
